The Star Plate system is designed to be an economic, easy-to-use platesetter for printers. It images on special coated conventional PS, positive, aluminum plate by jetting the UltraChrome™ Photo Black ink on an Epson’s large format printer. The Star Plate system is driven by the specialized Star Plate RIP resident on a Mac computer and capable of producing plates for most jobs performed by small, medium to large format presses.

Hot Folder Management

A Hot folder is a specific directory on the network that can be set up to process files from the RIP. Hot folders can be configured for specific proofing setups so when files arrive in a hot folder Star Plate will automatically process the Ripped jobs and output to the CTP device.

Immersed develop processing design, with whole processing process done in one cycle of Develop, Wash, Gum and Dry. Advanced Control Automatic control and easy change of setting for the data, such as processing duration, chemical and dryer temperature, chemicals replenishment, recirculation & filter, roller’s washing and gum control during re-wash cycle, thanks to micro processor which controls the setting of data.

Auto Managing System

Auto replenishing system provides to maintain the chemical volume against oxidation. When no plate processing, the machine will automatically replenishes chemicals volume due to chemicals oxidation, keep the chemicals in a stable and good status, so that high quality of processing can be assured.

Energy Saving Design

The product has functions of auto shut-down to stand-by mode when no plate processed, auto switch-off  of water inlet, partial spray in the whole processing process, gumming selection during re-wash process, high efficient dryer hot-air system, autorecycle of gum and power consumption’s reduction
